COMSOFT
was founded in 1990 as a software consulting company
providing telescope control and satellite tracking services
to the amateur and professional astronomical community.
Based in Tucson Arizona, COMSOFT is in close contact
with professional and amateur astronomers alike in what
is considered the "Astronomical Capital of the
World."
Currently COMSOFT has two mature commercial software
products, a control system called PC-TCS for equatorial
mounted telescopes and SATPRO - an earth orbiting
satellite tracking program which can be used in conjunction
with PC-TCS to accurately track earth orbiting
targets.
Since 1990 COMSOFT has installed over 40 telescope control
systems world wide. Clients range from State Universities
and Government Institutions to advanced amateurs desiring
state of the art "Observatory Class" telescope
control at a moderate price.
Several telescope manufacturers currently use PC-TCS
as their preferred control system for their products.
PC-TCS, our primary software product, is robust
and comprehensive in scope and has continued to evolve
in the last 5 years to meet every need of both professional
and advanced amateur astronomical observing programs.
We even use PC-TCS ourselves - PC-TCS is running a Celestron
C-14 telescope on a custom 20M equatorial mount furnished
by Optomechanics Research, Inc. at our offices in Tucson
Arizona. Come by and see the best control system available
for large or small equatorial telescopes.
